Grell 3D scheme

Grell 3D is a convection parameterization option in WRF cumulus physics selections.

It belongs to the Grell family of mass-flux approaches and is typically considered for experiments where deep convection is not explicitly resolved by grid spacing.

Choice of this scheme should be evaluated against target region, seasonality, and precipitation diagnostics because convective closure assumptions can strongly affect rainfall patterns.
