MOC DARWIN Workflow and Results
This map follows one research programme end to end: field observations in the Galapagos highlands, a downscaling workflow built to interpret them, and what came out. It is arranged as a workflow rather than a topic list, because the order things had to happen in is most of what makes the project legible.
The short version: a highland reference site instrumented with automated weather stations established what the garúa season actually delivers, which conventional gauges systematically under-record because much of the input is occult precipitation. Interpreting those observations across the archipelago required dynamically downscaling ERA5 with WRF, which produced the refined analysis — checked against the validation data before being used for anything.
Public material here deliberately describes generalised highland reference sites rather than exact station siting.
